Tamr Updates <1 Minute: July 2025

Tamr continues to evolve with a series of targeted updates that enhance connectivity, data management, and workflow precision. July’s release includes improvements across Snowflake integration, API functionality, and system of record (SOR) workflows, with new enhancements delivering greater control, security, and operational efficiency.

Snowflake Connections: Role-Based Configuration

Organizations can now specify a user role when configuring connections to Snowflake, providing more granular control over data access and operational context and aligning with enterprise-grade security practices. Whether for auditing, compliance, or multi-role data environments, this feature allows teams to tailor integrations to their specific needs more precisely.

New API Endpoint: Purging Records

In response to growing demand for robust data lifecycle tools, Tamr has introduced a new API endpoint for purging records. This functionality helps ensure that sensitive or outdated data is completely removed from the system, supporting better governance, compliance, and overall system hygiene.

System of Record Management Overhaul

For Tamr users, managing the SOR just got easier and more intuitive. The old settings page has been replaced with a dedicated system of record management interface. This change introduces two streamlined workflows:

  • Stage changes to SOR: Allows users to preview and validate proposed changes.
  • Apply changes to SOR: Apply changes planned in the “stage changes” workflow to the system of record.

These workflows provide more control than the previous single-step refresh SOR operation, helping teams manage data transitions safely and deliberately.

Other Notable Improvements

Additional upgrades in this release include:

  • Static inbound IP addresses enhance security and enable more predictable network configurations.
  • Improved value comparison logic for golden record consolidation reduces false positives and refines matching accuracy.
