Tamr Product Updates: September 2026
Want a Summary?

Tamr’s September product releases center on making golden records more complete and more accurate. From smarter name matching to new reference data standards, these updates help teams trust what their mastered data says about every customer, contact, and provider.

Match Records Across Name Variations

Tamr now recognizes nicknames and first name variations for more than 1,000 names when identifying matching records, so Robert, Rob, and Bob resolve to one person. Match details flag these with a MATCH_FIRST_NAME_VARIANT label. This applies to B2C Customers, Contacts, and Healthcare Providers data products created after September 21.

Standardize Source Values Before Matching

New Tamr-managed reference data standards, in limited release for RealTime data products, normalize consent status, dates, National Provider Identifier (NPI) formats, provider specialties, and website addresses down to their domain. Standardizing values at the source improves match accuracy and the records downstream teams rely on.

Choose Which Sources Shape a Golden Record

Record consolidation rules can now exclude specific sources when determining golden record values. If one system carries unreliable company names, curators can leave it out of that attribute while still using it elsewhere. Teams get finer control over which systems they trust, attribute by attribute.

Verify Healthcare Providers Against the National Registry

If you run the Healthcare Providers data product, records can now be matched against the National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) for NPI, license, contact, and address data, and those values can be prioritized in consolidation rules. NPPES attributes are not yet shown on 360-degree view pages.
