Andy Palmer, Tamr co-founder and chair, is a serial entrepreneur with deep experience starting and scaling innovative technology, healthcare, and life sciences companies. He served as Tamr’s CEO for over 11 years, and is passionate about the unrealized potential of data and AI in general—but especially in healthcare and the life sciences. Prior to Tamr, Andy started the seed fund Koa Labs, which has backed more than 140 startups over the past 25 years—four of which have grown into unicorns. Andy also serves as chair at DBOS and Inflection Medicine, as well as founding board member at Osmo.ai. Andy is a research affiliate at MIT, and holds an MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from Bowdoin College.
