What It’s Like to Work at Tamr

There are a number of reasons why people enjoy working for Tamr, from our office culture, to benefits, to social events and career growth opportunities. Recently, we spoke with some Tamrs in our Cambridge office to get a better sense of what it’s like to work at Tamr from their perspectives.

Our Office Has ‘Good Energy’

“Our office is a fun place to work because there is an energy and engagement in what we do every day. People genuinely care about our goals and the ways we help our customers solve business problems. It is not a passive place to work–which is exciting for me personally.

Complementing that energy is a massive variety in personal work styles and free time activities which makes every day a little bit different. Sometimes we charge project mountains, sometimes the team disappears for days to just research / or write code and be insulated.

Lastly, we have extremely smart people and we continue to hire more. The vibe in the office and the work we do has a consistent intellectual horsepower that impresses me every day.”

There’s No Such Thing as a ‘Typical Day’

“No day is ever the same at Tamr! I go in each week knowing my day will be different, exciting, and present new challenges. Yesterday, I started my day with an oat milk chai, dived into my unread emails/Slack messages, started planning our September company summer outing, photographed our office space for social media (including our arcade room!), helped on-board and meet with two new hires, worked on designing our new office space, and helped coordinate a customer onsite meeting!”
